Oil prices are sharply lower today, with WTI down 2.8% to $88.75 and Brent down 2.4% to $91.97, erasing most of Monday's gains. Rigzone attributes the sell-off to a return of volatility, while Saxo Bank notes prices are giving back recent gains. The decline comes despite another massive reported draw in U.S. crude inventories. According to the American Petroleum Institute (API), crude stocks fell by 9.1 million barrels last week, far exceeding analyst expectations for a 3.4 million-barrel draw.
