The North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources approved three new drilling permits and renewed seven others in its latest daily activity report. The new permits were filed by Hess Bakken Investments II and Burlington Resources Oil & Gas Company LP.

Hess Bakken Investments II received permit #42852 for the RS-PIEPKORN-155-92-1208H-3 well in Mountrail County's Stanley field. Burlington Resources secured two permits, #42853 for the CLEMENS 2E-TFH and #42854 for the DEMICKS LAKE 2D-TFH, both located in the same section (SE SW 07-151N-96W) in McKenzie County. According to the DMR report, both Burlington permits are listed for a 'CONFIDENTIAL' field.
