The U.S. Treasury Department has issued a temporary, 60-day license allowing Iran to sell some of its energy exports through August 21, according to Rigzone. This represents a sweeping change after years of strict economic sanctions and could introduce additional barrels to the global crude market in the near term.
Separately, Libya has reached its highest daily crude production since 2013, moving closer to its goal of 1.5 million barrels per day by year-end, Rigzone reported. The North African nation's output is now at 1.4 million barrels per day.

The company signed time charter agreements under which fellow Japanese companies MOL and NYK will each provide two tankers. This investment in ammonia transportation infrastructure highlights the growing global focus on lower-carbon energy projects, including those tied to natural gas.
