1. Headlines
Oil prices are pulling back slightly today after recent gains. As of midday, WTI is trading at $78.90, down 0.55%, with Brent at $84.21, down 0.61%. The Bakken differential holds at -$3.42 vs. WTI. According to the EIA, U.S. commercial crude inventories fell by 1.7 million barrels last week, leaving stocks 6% below the five-year average. The draw was larger than the 564,000-barrel drop reported by the API. The report showed a significant 4.6-million-barrel build in distillate stocks and a 1.5-million-barrel draw in gasoline.
