Oil markets are holding their breath as the U.S.-Iran ceasefire deadline approaches. President Trump stated in an interview with Bloomberg News that it is "highly unlikely" he will extend the truce, which expires Wednesday evening Washington time, without a deal. He confirmed the U.S. naval blockade at the Strait of Hormuz will remain in place until an agreement is signed. Despite this, prices showed almost no movement in early trading, with WTI at $87.43 and Brent at $90.57.
