According to Rigzone (citing Bloomberg), prices rose as fresh clashes between U.S. and Iranian forces rattled markets, dimming hopes for a swift peace deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. gave Iran a deadline to respond to its latest peace proposal, but overnight skirmishes, including U.S. airstrikes on Iranian tankers, highlighted the fragile ceasefire. Despite the daily gain, Brent still posted a weekly loss of about 6%.
