1. Headlines
Oil prices are down sharply this morning. WTI crude is trading at $81.61, down $1.66 (-1.99%), while Brent is at $87.37, down $1.61 (-1.81%). According to Rigzone, this decline comes as stalled negotiations with Iran over the Strait of Hormuz conflict are being offset by a reported massive increase in U.S. oil inventories. Natural gas is also lower, down $0.04 to $2.76.
