The ninth permit went to Koda Resources Operating LLC for the AMBER 1705-6BH well in Divide County's Fertile Valley field.

In other activity, several previously confidential wells were released from that status. According to the report, three Hess Bakken Investments II, LLC wells in Williams County (GO-LINDSETH-157-96-3119H-1, -2, -3) and one in McKenzie County (AN-LONE TREE-LN-152-95-1207H-1) are no longer confidential. Two other wells, one operated by Devon Energy Williston, L.L.C. in Mountrail County (SCHA 33-34 XN 1H) and one by Whiting Oil and Gas Corporation in McKenzie County (CLIFFSIDE 5103 41-7 6BX), were released from confidential status. The Whiting well's entry also notes an Assiniboine SWD permit was approved.

A new saltwater disposal well permit was approved for Phoenix Operating, LLC. The permit, #43375, is for the HOBBIT 1 SWD well located in the NWNE of Section 29-160-97 in Divide County's Wildrose field.

The daily report highlights continued permit activity in the core Bakken counties of McKenzie and Mountrail, as well as ongoing development in Divide County. The release of multiple wells from confidential status by major operators like Hess and EOG provides new public data on recent drilling results in Williams and Mountrail counties.

DMR Daily Activity Report Shows No New Permits or Filings Sunday

No new oil and gas activity was recorded in North Dakota’s official daily report for Sunday, October 4, according to the state Department of Mineral Resources. The DMR's daily activity report, which tracks regulatory filings from operators, contained no new permits, well completions, spud reports, or notices of plugged wells. The daily report is a key source for tracking near-real-time operational activity in the Bakken formation and broader Williston Basin. It typically includes new permits approved for drilling, notices that a well has been spudded (drilling commenced), reports of well completions (when a well is finished and ready for production), and official notifications of well plugging. Days with no new filings are a normal occurrence in the state's reporting system, especially following weekends and state holidays when operator offices and regulatory processing may be offline. The lack of new activity in a single daily report does not indicate a trend,...
