Gavin Rennick, president of SLB's New Energy and Industrial business, stated, "We will help developers accelerate deployment of new data center capacity," Rigzone reported. This move highlights the growing intersection between the energy industry and the power-intensive data center sector.

The push for data center capacity is relevant to the Bakken's future, as the region could potentially host facilities attracted by reliable power and cooler climates. Increased industrial power demand may also create future offtake opportunities for associated gas from oil wells, aiding in gas capture efforts.
