The key global benchmark, Brent crude, was down 1.66% to $70.38. In the Bakken, the local crude price differential to WTI was reported at -$3.42 per barrel. The price drop is directly linked to a surge in Middle Eastern exports. According to a report from OilPrice.com citing Reuters data, Saudi Arabia has rushed at least five supertankers loaded with crude through the recently reopened Strait of Hormuz in recent days, with at least four more vessels waiting to load.
